Streambox Vcr Suite 2 is a pack of programs put together by The Streaming Media Recorder Forum to help you deal with streaming media. This media is the content we can hear and watch through our Internet browsers, coming directly from TV channels, radio stations, video sites or multimedia web pages. Streambox VCR Suite gathers in a single installer a bundle of applications from different developers to capture that streaming media, and to make a copy of it into our disks for whatever purpose.
Streambox VCR is the main application in this bundle. It captures streaming content from the Internet and downloads it into your hard drive. The package includes several versions of StreamBox VCR for compatibility’s sake. You should start using the most recent version (1.0 Beta 3.1 SMF+turbo) and try the other ones only if this one does not work for you.
StreamBox Ripper allows you to make a copy of any CD track or audio file just by dragging it onto the program’s interface. This program can then convert the captured audio to WAV, MP3 or WMA formats, with different quality settings.
RealAudio Renamer, as you can guess by its name, is a program to perform batch renaming of your RA or RAM files. You can specify rules to name all your files following a given criteria.
In brief, StreamBox VCR gives you all the programs you may need to capture streaming media. You must be aware that this might be considered an illegal activity in some countries. |
